Submit Your Work
Why should you submit?
If you are an aspiring artist, the Work in Progress magazine will help you grow your publications resume for free! By submitting, not only will you be creating more opportunities for youself, you will also be inspiring more young artists to do the same and pursue their passions. Currently, we do not offer compensation for work.
How can you submit?
We accept a variety of art forms, including photographs, digital artwork, all genres of prose, and poetry. We accept applicants from the ages of 10-19. Please send an email with the subject “Submission” to workinprogresspublications@gmail.com with the following:
Writing in Word documents or Google Doc files (for prose, limit is 3,000 words)
Digital artwork and photography should be high-resolution and sent in .jpg files
Include a short third-person biography. Visit the 'About Us' section of the Work in Progress website to see examples.
Generally, we will respond within 1-3 days. You may be asked for additional information. The work you submit must be your own original work and it is your obligation to ensure it is not plagiarized. In the circumstance that your work was previously published, it’ll only be accepted if you have the rights of publication. There is no limit on how many works you can submit!
